Hardest Part of Type 1 Diabetes

The hardest part of Type 1 diabetes for me since 1982 has been that it is constant and doesn’t take any breaks or vacations.

Low and high blood sugars are scary.

I aim for perfection in life but am far from it…

Let’s face it, I like to eat 😊

The new technology is helpful but come on…where is the cure?!

I set timers for every morning to give my long-term insulin shot.

Luckily needles have become tinier over time.

Also Continuous Glucose Monitors

have helped me in lots of ways to remove some fear of daily living with T1.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic. Please drop me a line at [email protected] sometime.

I will add to this blog at some point.

Thank you,

Julie
